This artwork captures the energy of change: the moment when we let go of something old and make room for something new. While painting, I felt that shift within myself. An inner tension gradually became movement. I built up layers of colour, painted over them and uncovered them again, until a new energy began to take shape. For me, this work is about awakening and finding the courage to grow into who we are becoming. The leaf of the fiddle-leaf fig becomes a symbol of breaking through: strong, untamed and full of life.
